This past Sunday I felt like Kevin’s mom, from Home Alone, trying to get to Phoenix to see my fiancé on our 4 year “meet” anniversary. What was supposed to be a quick 3ish hour direct flight ended up being a 12 hour, multiple airports, Poly running across the Chicago airport to catch a second flight to Phoenix… all because Spirit decided to cancel my flight! That’s what I get for going with my always safe bet, Delta. But I made it before midnight, and feel so lucky to also be here for Valentine’s Day.

The plans for tonight involve one of our favorite activities together: cooking! On the menu is a steak dinner, and for dessert, we will make a lemon bar recipe. It’s so nice to have access to fresh citrus in this beautiful city!
