Huge congrats on getting engaged! It’s the best feeling, isn’t it? I’m so glad you found me, and hope after you look around, you fill out the CONTACT FORM so we can connect! It’s hard to believe it was over 10 years ago when I photographed my very first wedding! And it was after photographing over 100 weddings that I became a bride myself, in May of 2018. I already LOVED weddings, and everything about them, but being on the other side of things made me realize that what I do is priceless. I loved planning my own wedding, and my wedding day was, by far, the best day of my life! Think cinco de mayo, strawberry margs, and the best live band and cake anyone could ask for! I have a wonderful list of referrals if your wedding is in Minnesota! In other words, I’ve been where you are, and I’m here to help you in every step of the way!
What is the price for your wedding collections?
Wedding collections start at $3000 and include at least 6 hours of coverage, as well as edited digital files. Contact me for more details and availability!
How many weddings to you photograph per year?
10-12 is my happy number.
Will you travel if my wedding is outside of Minnesota?
Absolutely! I love destination weddings and will go wherever you’d like, in the country, or in the world!
Will you be the one taking the photos at our wedding?
Absolutely!
What is your primary style?
My style is classic and timeless. My number one priority is to capture the essence and the story of the couple and of their wedding day.
What type of camera do you use?
I use all Canon equipment. My main camera is the Canon 5D Mark IV and my go-to lenses are the 50mm 1.2, the 35mm 1.4, the 70-200 2.8, and my 100mm macro. I always have backups of all my equipment as well, just in case.
Will there be backup equipment available?
Yes. I always take at least two camera bodies to every wedding I shoot. As well as many different lenses, CF cards, etc.
How many photos will you deliver?
I deliver an average of 50-75 pictures per hour.
Will you accept a list for specific photos to be taken?
Other than formal family groupings, no. I do want you to hire me because you like my style and trust my judgment of what should be captured. Following a list takes away from my creativity and my photojournalistic approach to photography.
How long after the event will the proofs be ready?
Your wedding gallery should be ready in 4 weeks. Engagement photos ready in two weeks.
What type and how much assistance will you provide in planning my album?
I love to design albums! People come to me because I am creative so I will give all the assistance you need. I can fully design your album, present it to you, and then make whatever changes you feel are necessary before we send to print.
Will you give a CD with all the pictures or is there an extra charge for that?
You will get a CD or pen drive with all your high-resolution images and print release. However, Poly Mendes Photography will still hold copyright over the images.
Do you have liability insurance?
Absolutely!
Is my wedding the only one you will be shooting that day?
Yes.
What happens if you are ill?
I have a network of other photographers who I would turn to to take my place. I have to say I have never had to cancel on anything, even a portrait shoot, because of being sick. I am as healthy as it gets. But if (God forbid) it were to happen, I would find you a suitable, competent replacement with similar style and price point to mine. I would still be the one to edit all the images taken so the editing style will be consistent with what you see on my website.
Do you provide a written contract?
Yes. If you have any questions on the contract (when booking) please let me know.
Can I take a copy of the contract home with me to read before I sign it?
The contract is online so you can look at it whenever you want. And please call or e-mail me if you have any questions.
Is a retainer required? If so, how much?
Yes. A retainer and signed contract will hold your date. The retainer is $1000.00. You can also pay a retainer of half of the package price you choose if you’d like. The balance will be due 30 days before your wedding/event.
Do you charge MN Sales Taxes?
Yes, as required by Minnesota Law.
